So you wanna know what each Decoy contributor is jamming this week? Take a long gander at this week's list and feel free to add what you guys are spinning too.
Jared Wonders What Evil Lurks Inside The Hearts Of Men: Hell Within - Asylum Of The Human Predator

There's one band I definitely didn't give enough attention to last year. That band? Hell Within. That's right; probably the most cliché metal band name you've heard in a while. And in a certain respect, they do craft pretty standard metalcore, but oh, can they shred.
Their sound? It's a mix of early Metallica (back when they were thrash) and distinctively modern metalcore. The opening track off Asylum of the Human Predator, “Godspeed to Your Deathbed,” slays your ears to perfection. Really. It's tasty.
Sometimes you're in the mood for something to rip your face off. And for those times, these guys do the job. I'll admit I'm a sucker for flashy solos, monotonous double bass blasts, and all-out breakdowns. Hell Within does it for me every time.
Brent Is Only Going To Say This One Tine: The Fugees - The Score

Website: (http://www.sonymusic.com/artists/Fugees/) :: Listen: (http://www.sonymusic.com/artists/Fugees/)
This hip-hop cross-over classic deserves more attention than whatever labels come with being an out-of-left-field-act. What I mean is this album is brilliant and if you can't appreciate it, then piss off.
Chris Throws Down The Gauntlet: Nostra Monte - Nostra Monte
http://www.decoymusic.com/images/ListeningStation/nostramonte.jpg
Website: (http://www.myspace.com/nostramonte) :: Listen: (http://www.myspace.com/nostramonte)
Spawning from Bath, Pennsylvania comes your newest screamo obsession, Nostra Monte. This bass-less trio strives to blend beauty with raw hardcore elements. Their influences range from dredg and Kaddisfly to Funeral Diner and Hot Cross and you can hear a bit of each of those bands in these five lengthy songs, and more. It’s emotional, it’s positive, it’s negative, and it’s downright epic, and I couldn’t be happier to be the drummer of this band. Please listen with an open mind. I hope you enjoy the songs as much as we do.
Aaron Doesn't Want To Be Your Sleazy Whore: Unwritten Law - Unwritten Law
http://www.decoymusic.com/images/ListeningStation/unwrittenlaw.jpg
Website: (http://www.unwrittenlaw.com) :: Listen: (http://www.unwrittenlaw.com/multimedia/)
I decided to go back a few years to one of my favorite albums growing up, the self titled effort, otherwise known as the black album to many. This album had everything a hard punk rock album should have: fast beats, infectious melodies, and tunes that leave you humming along for eternity. And as far as I'm concerned, this album will live on for eternity in my CD player, as its one of the oldest albums I still listen to religiously. From the opening tune "Harmonic" to the single "Caitlin," this album really established Unwritten Law as the powerhouse band that should have been. I only say this because I found myself still supportive of the follow-up Elva, but it lacked the raw energy and drive that these guys from San Diego had when they wrote their self titled album. This entire album is solid… "Sorry," "Teenage Suicide," "Lonesome," "Holiday," "California Sky," should all go down as classic songs. If you haven't heard this, do yourself a favor.
Ben Sheds His Elitist Attitude And Presents Something Everyone Can Enjoy: Million Dead - Harmony No Harmony
http://www.decoymusic.com/images/ListeningStation/milliondead.jpg
Website: (http://www.milliondead.com) :: Listen: (http://www.milliondead.org/index2.html)
It's not often I can get more than one person into my car and have everyone like what I'm playing. I can usually pick music for any set of company, but a crowded car requires a certain rockability, but also the ability to take a backseat to conversation. Million Dead was a nearly-perfect selection for a ride with my best friend, my roommates, and a complete stranger. One's a punk kid, one's indie, one's metal…and one's a complete stranger. Million Dead pleased them all. They don't play lowest common denominator rock, either. Their progressive political lyricism, varied vocals, and track-by-track stylistic shifts assure that you never get bored (or at least don't stay bored for very long). This is probably the only band ever that might make a decent run at being a band everyone can enjoy.
