Holy posi batman! Sorry Mike, I just had to use it.
Stick To Your Guns is going to be popping up on the radars here shortly with their new EP. The guys play straight hardcore with a positive message. So I hope you weren't expecting some tough guy hardcore, because you won't hear it. Also, if you are a fan of gang chants, you are going to love these guys.

MySpace (http://www.myspace.com/agirlagunaghost) | PureVolume (http://www.purevolume.com/agirlagunaghost)
When listening to A Girl A Gun A Ghost, I want to grab myself a bottle of Southern Comfort and go out on the town, hit up some strip clubs, and just have a rockin time. Southern rock has really been pushing into the forefront of the scene with acts like Maylene And The Sons Of Disaster driving it. Well, A Girl A Gun A Ghost will soon be taking up the torch when they finish recording their debut full length. The guys are currently in the studio with Lee March (Fight Paris, Minus Driver) and Andy Riley (Cradle of Filth). Expect the new album out late July.
http://www.breakingcustom.com/images/bandstohear/052006/carpathian.jpg Carpathian
MySpace (http://www.myspace.com/carpathian) | Website (http://www.carpathianhc.com/)
Man it almost seems like I'm jumping all over the globe in this article. Another breeding ground for new hardcore acts is the beautiful continent, Australia. Carpathian almost reminds me of a young Hatebreed and if that's the case, you know the guys are on the path to success.
The band recently released their new album Nothing To Lose on Resist Records and is making a big buzz in their homeland. Well, I think it should be as well all over the globe. I HIGHLY suggest you check out Carpathian, because once their music hits your ears, you're hooked.

MySpace (http://www.myspace.com/andtheherofails) | PureVolume (http://www.purevolume.com/andtheherofails) | Website (http://www.andtheherofails.com/)
Arizona seems to be the hot spot for new hardcore/metal acts. You got Job For A Cowboy who is literally on everyone's list, but there is another band from AZ that needs to be heard. That band is And The Hero Fails. ATHF self-released album, Empire Smile, is leap and bounds over most acts out there. It goes to show that when people say there is no good music out, they aren't looking hard enough because And The Hero Fails is just that damn good.
http://www.breakingcustom.com/images/bandstohear/052006/projecthate.jpg The Project Hate MCMXCIX UNSIGNED
MySpace (http://www.myspace.com/theprojecthate) | Website (http://www.theprojecthate.net/)
You have to give up to the wondeful country of Sweden for producing some of the best metal acts: At The Gates, In Flames. There is always a new band that comes out of there that just takes over the metal world. While the metal scene jumps back and forth from Swedish metal, to Finnish metal, to American metal, it always remain constant that some band in either genre always emerges at the top.
The Project Hate MCMXCIX hails from Örebro, Sweden and is going to be that next band to rise in the metal scene. Their style of melodic death metal is unforgettable, especially with the addition of their female vocalist, Jonna Enckell, who adds another element to the bands sound.
So I suggest to all you metal labels to look to this band for your next sign. You won't disappointed.
http://www.breakingcustom.com/images/bandstohear/052006/thewake.jpg The Wake
Website (http://www.the-wake.net/)
When I first heard "Death-A-Holic" grace my ears, I was instantly hooked. Then the next thing came to mind, who the hell is The Wake? Well, the guys hail from Finland and you guessed it, play melodic metal. Like I always say, you can have melody in your songs and still be brutal. Like I said above, their song "Death-A-Holic" is full of pummeling double bass and amazing riffage. Yeah, I said riffage, want a fight about it?
Spinefarm really needs to be pushing this band, especially to the fans in the US. We'd eat this stuff up like it's candy.
http://www.breakingcustom.com/images/bandstohear/052006/arise.jpg Arise
MySpace (http://www.myspace.com/ariseonline) | Website (http://www.ariseonline.com/)
I just had to come back to Swedish metal. It's just too damn good. There is something in the air over there that just breathes metal. Arise got their name from the Sepultura album Arise and they couldn't pick a better band to name themselves after. Their latest effort, The Beautiful World, is a mix of death and thrash metal that never lets up. There isn't a single song on this album that is a tad bit slow. The guys shred the shit out of their guitars, play the drums at blistering speeds, and screams that could bring down the Empire State building. Take one listen to "Profit From The Weak" and you'll know.
http://www.breakingcustom.com/images/bandstohear/052006/mikoto.jpg Mikoto
MySpace (http://www.myspace.com/mikoto) | PureVolume (http://www.purevolume.com/mikoto) | Website (http://www.mikotomusic.com/)
Mikoto is the shit. End of story. Case closed.
The guys released their self-titled EP awhile back and it is still driving on. If you haven't heard it, you need to head over to their MySpace page to take a listen to some kickass hardcore. I say kickass because that's what it is. The music is unrelenting and Ray's screams his lungs out for all to hear.
http://www.breakingcustom.com/images/bandstohear/052006/bridgetosolace.jpg Bridge To Solace
MySpace (http://www.myspace.com/bridgetosolace) | PureVolume (http://www.purevolume.com/bridgetosolace) | Website (http://www.bridgetosolace.org/)
It took a couple years to finalize the lineup for Bridge To Solace, but it was well worth it. Their forthcoming album, When Nightmare And Dreams Unite, hits stores here shortly via GSR Records and it will be making waves here in the states and around the globe. The band plays an infectious style of melodic hardcore/metal a la Children of Bodom even As I Lay Dying.
http://www.breakingcustom.com/images/bandstohear/052006/suicidesilence.jpg Suicide Silence UNSIGNED
MySpace (http://www.myspace.com/suicidesilence) | Website (http://www.suicidesilence.net/)
Since Cory Rennison (http://www.decoymusic.com/vb/member.php?u=2437) said it best; I'm going to let him tell you why you should listen to Suicide Silence:
"To be brief and to the point, the band’s self-titled debut is flawless from start to finish (although it’s only 5 tracks anyways). It’s filled with in your face technical death metal, and some beautifully orchestrated breakdowns that will probably give you some chills down your spine. The vocals dance right in line with the music and have some incredibly scary range, which is executed so well that you wonder whether vocalist Mitch Lucker is man or demon."
