Dude 1:Prog-Tech-Metal oh yeah! War from A Harlots Mouth are from Berlin and sick!
Dude 2: To be honest, I am kind of sick of this band. Why does every band that shows any sort of talent refer to themselves as tech. What the hell is “tech” anyway? So you are efficient in your music abilities, big deal.
Dude 1: No, dude they use weird time signatures, and they don’t use the pentatonic scale. There is so much more that goes on behind the scenes with the songwriting.
Dude 2: Frankly I could kind of care less what they do to craft their music. Does the record sound good?
Dude 1: Their new record MMX is so so so so so much better than their previous albums. They get rid of what made them different, and maybe interesting, in the first place. No more of that pussy experimental jazz grindcore like they did on their last record. The breakdowns are super heavy.
Dude 2: What, like that track “Cancer Man?” I am pretty sure that is from an As I Lay Dying track or maybe it was It Dies Today.
Dude 1: You just aren’t into heavy music anymore and can’t a band getting heavier be a good thing?
Dude 2: I suppose if a band is interested in joining the masses of tired breakdown ridden bands, then yes getting heavier or more brutal is a good thing because it means I will not have to listen to another one of their records. I can just go listen to an older band that was better at their genre and smoke my pipe and tsk tsk tsk at these bands pushing out the same old shit. Why did War from A Harlots Mouth get rid of their experimental side?
Dude 1: Because they didn’t want to be compared to all those other bands that experiment with different sounds.
Dude 2: Oh, so being just another brutal boring metalcore band is that much better?
Dude 1: I hate you man…..

Haha, interesting. I was pretty into these dudes when they put out the split with Molotov Solution like four years ago, but it's all been downhill since then in my eyes.

This band has always been terrible. I'm surprised they've managed to hang around long enough to put out 3 full lengths. I can't listen to a thing they put out.

Ok, returning to this album. It came up in my "to listen to" pile today and I'll admit this is probably their best album to date. However, they're still not a band that I have any desire to listen to repeatedly.
