Who could have imagined four guys from Hollywood Blvd could bring back rock'n'roll? Now, I'm sure some of you are sitting there thinking to yourselves, yeah right no one can bring back rock'n'roll.. well my friend, this is about as close as you're going to get and in my opinion I feel like they straight nailed the album.

"This album was recorded in a live setting (except for 3 tracks). The band setting equipment up in a room, placing large pieces of foam between the amplifiers and drum kit to keep the different instruments from bleeding together, standing some mics up and pressing record. Didn’t even use headphones."

This album is absolutely mind-blowing. It's that good that it has not left my cd-player in over a month.. now that has got to be saying something. Bringing forth the gritty, junkie, hooker laden music straight from the streets, The Bronx have made their rise to the top a quick one, signing to Ferret then ending up Island Records before their self-titled debut even dropped.. hows that for rock'n'roll.

Seems like everyone knows something, the sound these guys possess will radiate, will shine through to different generations and only allow their number of fans to grow. To begin the album with 'Heart Attack American' was perfect. A slow guitar lead-in before exploding out your speakers into a frenzy of energy that left myself taken back by what was blaring.. the catchyness of each song leaves me wanting more. 'White Tar' is maybe the best song on the album, a classic riff mixed with the raw energy these guys must have been feeling while recording the album "We got cancer, looking for the answer!" The songs echo in the back of my mine endlessly making me press play all over again and relive through the best rock'n'roll album of the year!

Without over-hyping it, which would be tough to do, I will tell you that you must do yourself a favor and grab this album. If you've been hearing the name forever but never taken the chance to check it out, do so now, you will not be disappointed.
