Although The Garden Ecstasis is a 6 song EP, it is all too easy for one to get lost in these tracks. It is with their ability of finding that which is peaceful in the song and destroying it to a bloody pulp, only to restore it with a breath of fresh air to recover. Snic will have you in the midst of thought only to assault your thoughts and will then gently bring you back down.

As for the sound of this band, well, that is the tricky part. This band doesn’t seem to lean toward just one type of sound. However, they aren’t so much all over the board that the listener may lose interest. Their sound touches upon everything from Dredg to sounding like Cursive at times. This band was best described by another Decoy Music staffer when he said “This is one of the most indescribable bands I’ve ever had the pleasure of hearing.”

From beauty to chaos and back again several times, Snic creates music that is a driving force of life. Much like the waters of the oceans, they create a soothing sound that can quickly turn into the roughest seas. While the duality of the calm waves and rough seas exists, what really makes Snic is the fine detail of their sound. In a similar fashion to the oceans, their sound has so much more going on beneath the surface. A whole teeming source of life lies beneath the surface, producing a sound that can seamlessly shift from chaotic to calm in a split second. Take the time to experience Snic and let them crash over you like the waves in the oceans!

Where's the totally cheesy pun? It's not a Brandon Carter review without it!

I agree. Can not seem to put a finger on it. It sounds like things for a second, then totally switches it up. Not really my sound, but I can tell they're good.
