The first thing I want to point out about this CD is the excruciating amount of work that went into making this release possible, it took the band over 2 YEARS to complete. This Enhanced CD/EP has five amazing tracks, but also an entire enhanced portion filled with video, pictures, and more! Each disc was hand numbered, hand packaged, and individually designed (which means no two cd look exactly alike). Each member of the band (4 members in the band) took 250 cd’s (1000 total) and made each one. The five song CD/EP begins with the song Passions Bleeding Orbit, which has a cleverly catchy beginning, yet also has powerful singing (the singer reminds me of the Bright Eyes singer, but harder and faster, plus he screams (different then most screams)). All of the songs on this album are extremely catchy, an all are amazingly sung. The catchiness and amazing singing (not only the signing, but also the guitars, drums, and even bass) make this cd, a cd that is bearable to with stand hours-on-hours of play (which is a good thing since it only has five tracks). My favorite song on the cd though is My Sisyphus it starts out like its going to be some sporadic hardcore song, but quickly changes to an incredible song with a great chorus and catchy breakdowns/screams in it. The best part of the song is saved for the end where the singer starts to almost chant louder and louder (as the drums and guitar speed up play in the background) all leading to a major breakdown, and a smooth finish (what a way to end a cd). The only real problem that I had with CD/EP was that it was only 5 tracks long, but the songs are so good that they make up for it. Make sure you don't forge to check out the enhanced portion of the CD it loaded with pictures, video, buddy icons, etc... Oh yeah did I mention you can pick up the CD/EP over at Smartpunk for just $5!!!!
I gave this CD/EP a 5/5 because not only are they more than incredible musicians (and also a breath from all the bands that try to play the same style), but for the sheer amount of effort they put forth to put this release out, not only did they put forth effort on every individual cd they also self-released it....Oh yeah I also wanted to mention that I actually got the cd that the picture on SmartPunk is of, kind of a weird coincidence....
