Who?

Johnnyrook is a five piece from Minneapolis, Minnesota who all have their roots firmly planted in hardcore and metal. Featuring ex-members of bands such as Sinking Steps Rising Eyes, Nodes of Ranvier, Mercy's Own and Martyr AD, these guys sport quite a pedigree.

Sounds Like?

Nothing like you would expect from what you just read. This is intense acoustic and piano rock. The strumming on this album gets so passionate, you think the strings would snap.

How Is It?

Altogether unique and quite amazing. It's extremely personal and touching without making you want to puke. You may think this is an emo-tearfest waiting to happen, something along the lines of Dashboard Confessional, but user beware. These brutes would shove Chris Carrabba's sissy stick and sideburns down his throat. The use of emotional instruments and music combined with great song writing and unparalleled intensity make for a great album.
