Bleeps and bloops will only get you so far in life. GreenHorse and their electronic backings found their way onto my playlist god knows how. It seems like someone is playing a sick joke on me. This five-track EP entitled Transcontinental reminds me of a poor man's Owl City. The band consists of two bassists who decided, to make nothing more than undesirable electronic tinged pop for the masses.
The first song, "Hot Nights," is vaguely interesting in that it is reminiscent of a bad Of Montréal b-side. The rest is pure pop dribble. Now you know how James DeWees from Reggie and The Full Effect is not exactly the greatest singer? Despite this, the humor in his music is what makes it interesting. GreenHorse doesn't have anything to offset the horrible vocals--this band lacks talent in the vocals department and touts no humor to fall back on.
I'm not going to waste any more space by writing how much I disliked this. This is a short review for a short album. Please, GreenHorse, don’t even bother me with a full length.

Yeah, this is pretty terrible.

Good thing you bothered to review a 5-month old, irrelevant album that you hated anyway.
"This is our night. The look in your eyes says we can go all the way. I'm losing my mind, broken inside, I want you to take my breath away. It's obvious that my heart beats for you...
Translation: "I'mma do you so good tonight, and I'm gonna make vague references to love to coax your pants off."

Good thing I respect the opinions of others..... :-)
