“WHOOOOO! FRATERNITY! Oh man, oh man, I’m so wasted! BROHAM! Where’s the keg at? NO, no, you need to hit this shit right here! ALPHA BETA KICKS ASS! I’m gonna nail that bitch tonight, you watch, bro…”
If at a party, and the stereo is blasting Fight Paris’ debut LP Paradise Found, you are more than likely to hear any or all of the above phrases being shouted across a hot, sweaty living room, which is probably caked with vomit, piss, and other bodily fluids. Welcome to the Greek life. In case it wasn’t already obvious, I find the fraternity system to be the lowest common denominator of civilization; primates have more refined social groups. And Paradise Found should be the soundtrack to any frat boy’s life – sex, drugs, and rock n’ roll aplenty.
Knowing what to expect from Fight Paris is simple once you listen to the first five seconds of Paradise Found's first track “Fuck Me Stilettos” with the lyrics being, “Damn right that slut’s my bitch, she fucking sucked my goddamn dick.” Singer Kevin Phillips comes off pretty strong, considering it’s the album’s opener. I mean, it’s obvious with lyrics like that he must totally please the ladies unless, of course, he feels the need to compensate for some of his short comings. Regardless, Fight Paris has hit a new low for men everywhere, rivaling Dr. Dre’s “Fuck You” as one of the most sexist, derogatory songs in recent years. The band makes the extra effort to offend by inserting an audio clip of a sex session at the end of “100 Proof Woman,” complete with slapping, moaning, and degrading language. I’m sure the Alpha Beta boys will really get a kick out of that one. By the end of the third track, “Complete Heat,” I can’t blame any listener to turn their stereo off. But don’t worry; the album’s highpoint is its length, barely breaking the half-hour margin.
Basically, Paradise Found continues through this same formula of blatantly offensive lyrics, but do not fret, their music is equally tasteless. If Fight Paris’ goal is to be the official frat party house band with sex, drugs, rock n’ roll as their primary theme similar to that of Poison, Mötley Crüe, and Def Leppard, they should’ve probably considered having somewhat of an original sound. Instead, Fight Paris unabashedly and shamelessly rips off Every Time I Die in every possible sense – musically and vocally; these aren’t just mere influences and similarities, these are unashamed and clear attempts to duplicate their successful predecessors. But I will give Fight Paris credit for succeeding in a most believable impersonation; even the production is dirty and rough like Hot Damn!.
Does Trustkill realize that they haven’t a single band that doesn’t follow trends? Every Trustkill release seems to have a sticker on the face of the album declaring it the “New Breed of [blank]-core!” Maybe I don’t get the music biz or this whole talent thing, but perhaps Trustkill should invest more energy in finding refreshing, quality musicians instead of finding the next (attempted) money-making ploy, such as Fight Paris. But hey, maybe Trustkill can find a nice niche with the Alpha Beta boys.

i bashed it because, in case you didn't actually read the review, it's completely unoriginal, tasteless, talentless, and trashy. if you consider degrading women entertaining and "cool," then maybe you should rush for Alpha Beta this fall.

It's nothing original, or indepth, but boo who. An album like this isn't made to actually impress the shit out of you. When I listen to "Paradise, Found" I just want to go out and fucking have a good time. Reason why I mentioned it in my review.
