Pretty much anyone who has snuck their way into this review no doubt already has a set opinion about Bring Me The Horizon. Regardless to whether or not that person had listened to the whole album, which leaked months before the British release last October, he/she would have comments that could fall into either extreme of a rant or a rave.
So what is so infuriating or infatuating about Bring Me The Horizon’s Count Your Blessings?
Well, with Myspace as their number one, and highly efficient, media output, Bring Me The Horizon has garnered a sophisticated friends list. (Myspace terms: Friends List # = amount of popularity) With that said, the typical BMTH Myspace friend would be guilty of an unhealthy amount of online time and an unhealthy addiction to personal ego. Because epitomizing a ridiculed fad is simply not enough to prove a point, these online junkies utilize Bring Me The Horizon’s music to finish the job.
The already obnoxious (Myspace term: BAMF) persona of Bring Me The Horizon does not need to be further bolstered by music because they are their music. Whether it is the slew of profanity or the use of a pornography clip at the end of “Pray For Plagues”, Bring Me The Horizon really pushes the limit of BAMFism. From the delicious fanfare of relentless breakdowns or the dominating amounts of screaming and growling, Bring Me The Horizon is for sure the ‘illest’ band around. Then again, the band can also bust out some mad beats in “Off The Heezay”. To fully justify how bad ass Bring Me The Horizon gets, they bust out some sick, originally unoriginal lyrics for deathcore, like “Fear me dear cause I am death,” in “For Stevie Wonder’s Eye’s Only". “Tell Slater Not to Wash His D*ck”, “A Lot Like Vegas”, “Medusa”, “Liquor & Love Lost’, “Black and Blue”, the titles are ingenious. Like adding “terror” to a name, blasting Bring Me The Horizon is the ultimate way to gain BMAF points.
On the other hand, for those who identify that “BAMF = obnoxious” could also identify that “Count Your Blessings = predictable”. Bring Me The Horizon is a joke when it comes down to real originality. From track to track, the things Bring Me The Horizon play wouldn’t surprise anyone, they are as abrasive, as crude, and as heavy as anyone could expect. However, it is surprising how the tracks aren’t very repetitive and songs actually vary within themselves. Ultimately, the band doesn’t try anything new other than sticking grillz in their mouth. They’re as innovative as their wardrobe, and just as popular.
The lasting power on Count Your Blessings is incredible -- you’ll either always love it or always hate it. In the end, they still aren’t anything to brag about.

I hate it how little bitchy 14 year old girls who listen to Fall Out Boy and My Chemical Romance listen to these guys because they're pretty poular at the moment. For what reasons, I do no know.
You guys have no idea how popular these guys are over here with the scene douche contingent. Fucking posers.

It's a fucking disgrace.
After the whole Ollie Sykes scandal, when he pissed on that girl for not sucking his dick, there was a sudden influx of "Ollie is innocent" myspace groups wanking up all over the place. And all those fags who repeated things like "I wish you'd piss on me Ollie."
They're like a fucked up cult.
