The new Boy Sets Fire "Live For Today EP" is released on Wind-Up records; the same label as Creed, but do not really sound a thing like Creed. I had not heard Boy Sets Fire too much when I first heard the EP, but I knew that it would be a hardcore type sound to expect.
Not much to say about the EP, considering it only contains 3 new songs, and 3 live songs. The first song, "Release The Dogs" has a very hardcore sound to it, but also mixed with some melody. The other two "Handful of Redemption" and "Curtain Call" have a very melodic type sound to it, can't think of any band to compare it to, but I do like it. Then the rest are just live versions of "After The Eulogy", "Handful of Redemption", and "Rookie"
I liked this little EP, it gave me a good taste of what Boy Sets Fire is all about. I suggest this for anyone who is into bands like From Autumn To Ashes and those type bands. Also, for anyone who wants to try something new, this is a nice EP.
