Finally I get to listen to something other than poppunk...it's about time. Anyway, I've never been a fan of these guys, I think they played at the Warped Tour last year and I really wasn't feeling them. But that may have been before they were signed to Fat, I think I remember them being on Epitaph or something. Anyway, their song on the Fat Wreck Chords compilation Live Fat, Die Young really opened me up to a band that really has some talent. So I figured how bad could they really be. True they sing about things that I dont relate to, nor have the same feelings about...but lets looks past that to the sheer talent these musicians have. The breakdowns they have and the bridges they use in their music lets you know these guys are that good. For a little info on these guys I took a piece from Fat Wreck Chords website.

'Pittsburgh's Anti-Flag play a brand of punk rock as gritty as their hometown. After forming in 1994, these boys took the punk scene by storm with their debut release, Die For The Government. With their intense live shows and punk-as-fuck records, Anti-Flag have not looked back. These Iron City rockers mesh '77 streetpunk with a heavy dose of socially concious lyrics. Their message is vehemently anti-fascist, anti-war, and anti-nationalist. They call for participation from both sexes and unity in the punk scene. They, however, are not good at ping-pong.'

I found most of their songs to be very enjoyable mixing it up with their different influences. The main thing here is that I dont believe or indentify with their lyrics, but there are many of todays youth that have strong beliefs toward the government and toward certain groups and organizations. I praise them for standing up for what they believe in and all the fans that follow them, I just dont feel this way. I think the lyrics go perfectly with the music though and I found this album to basically rock my ass...which was what I was now expecting.

Awesome music backed by some very political lyrics. Anyone that is a fan of these guys already knows how these guys deliver. And well I haven't heard any of their past albums, but I'm guessing they deliver again because I find this album to be very entertaining. 13 songs, with 37 minutes of music.
