Cradle of Filth has announced the cancellation of their U.S. tour with The Faceless, Decapitated, and The Agonist due to "immigration issues beyond the band's control."
Here's the official word:

"Cradle Of Filth are really sorry to tell all of their fans that their US tour '28 Days Closer To Hell' is going to have to be cancelled, due to US immigration issues beyond the band's control.

They have been desperately trying to solve these problems, but it has become evident they are not going to be resolved in time for the band to embark on a tour that starts next week.

The band sincerely apologise to all their fans and to the other acts on the tour and want to assure people they have made every effort possible to go ahead with the tour."

Atlanta, Georgia's Norma Jean have finished recording their new album for a late spring release. The CD was laid down at Covenant Recording studio in Kansas City, Missouri with producer Joshua Barber (Your Memorial Hands).

Norma Jean frontman Cory Brandan has been quoted saying, "We are looking at an 11 or 12 song track listing with a few songs left over for other special releases.

"We have been working very closely with producer/engineers Joshua Barber and Aaron Crawford. Awesome dudes with a lot of great ideas. They've definitely helped us push ourselves to do more with the record.

We really like the idea of talking about the songs and all getting connected to them emotionally/psychologically. It's something we learned while working with Ross Robinson. It's a great way to get all of us on the same page and fused in a common vision, even though we may have different interpretations. We believe that if we all know what every song is about, then we will play the songs differently and with more passion.

We spent almost two years writing this. We have definitely found so many ways to expand on what we've done before and progress into making something new. This is definitely something new, but don't misunderstand. It's heavy! We're metalheads! Born and raised."

Palms, the project featuring Deftones frontman Chino Moreno and members of Isis, will release their debut effort on June 25th via Ipecac Records. Moreno unveiled a song from the release yesterday via Mixlr.com

"Queens Of The Stone Age have confirmed that Mark Lanegan will be singing on their forthcoming new album.

The band took to Facebook to reveal the news, writing: "Lanegan came by. He didn't say much, but he sang good."

This means that the classic line-up of Songs For The Deaf era Queens Of The Stone Age will be appearing on the record, as Dave Grohl will be drumming on the album and the band's former bassist Nick Oliveri has also been recording with the group again.

Scissor Sisters frontman Jake Shears has also seemingly revealed that he is working with the band on the new album after he Tweeted a picture of himself with the group online.

He joins Nine Inch Nails main man Trent Reznor, who has been officially confirmed to appear on the follow-up to 2007’s Era Vulgaris.

The band will be playing a number of festivals this summer, including Benicàssim in Spain, and Download in the UK. At the end of last year, Queens Of The Stone Age unveiled a mockumentary titled Secrets Of The Sound." - NME

"There are things Disney likes: Pixar, Selena Gomez, sanitized pop stars singing songs for their movies, princesses and increasing profit margins. But what's some sh-t that Disney don't like? Well, for starters, they aren't too crazy for thrash metal forefathers Exodus.

Disney banned Exodus from playing a scheduled April 12 gig at the House of Blues Orlando—a venue nestled within the plastic fairy tale kingdom of Disney World—as part of their Metal Alliance Tour with Anthrax.

"Because Disney decided Exodus is TOO METAL for them, we will NOT be playing the Lake Buena Vista [House of Blues] show in Florida," the band explained. "But the fine thrash maniacs in Tampa have invited us to rage at the Orpheum instead. Who's comin' out for a Lesson in Violence?"

Is this shocking? Not really. It's not like you're ever going to hear Iron Maiden's "The Number of the Beast" while waiting in line for Mr. Toad's Wild Ride. But this part of their decision is a head-scratcher: Disney will allow Anthrax to play the very same Mickey-sanctioned music venue when the Metal Alliance Tour pulls into Mouse Turf on April 12.

So to recap: A metal band that shares its name with a tool of biological warfare? Totally cool with Mickey. A metal band that shares its name with book in the Bible? That's a no-go." - Fuse.TV

During a recent interview with AOL's Noisecreep, The Dillinger Escape Plan frontman Greg Puciato spoke about the status of his much-anticipated project with Max Cavalera (SoulFly, ex-Sepultura), Dave Elitch (ex-The Mars Volta) and Troy Sanders (Mastodon).

"We have 11 songs written," he said. "It's me, Max, Troy from Mastodon and Dave Elitch, who played drums in The Mars Volta for a little bit. Here's how it started. We were at a Deftones show in L.A. at the Palladium and we were talking backstage about old thrash metal, punk and hardcore and we found ourselves referencing many of the same things and we were like, 'Fuck, man, we should make a record together and do it as a one-off like Nailbomb [Max's mid-1990s side project with Fudge Tunnel's Alex Newport].' A month later, I talked to Max again and he said we should actually do that.

"No one in metal makes collaborative records like people in jazz and hip-hop do. It doesn't have to be like a band that you're launching from the ground that you go on tour with. There is something to be said for collaboration and throwing yourself out there and learning something new from working with different people. Dave was a buddy of mine already and he's a phenomenal drummer. He was the first person I thought of to play drums.

"We [Dillinger Escape Plan] spent a lot of time touring with Mastodon and Troy seemed like a really obvious fit. We had a really easy time writing and we may actually be recording really soon, like in the next month or so. And then we'll have to sit on it. We can't release it right behind the Dillinger record and we also have to figure out when the Mastodon record is coming out and the same for whatever Max is doing next. It's going to come out. It's just going to be a matter of logistics as to when."

Speaking to Singapore's radio show "Vicious Volume" last October, Max stated about the new project: "Troy from Mastodon just joined the band, too, so now we've got three singers for the project, which is also really killer. I'm really excited about that, too. I think it's gonna be a very original project. I don't know any other metal projects out there with three people singing like this. So it can be almost like a Transplants of metal. Transplants had three singers; this also has three singers, and it can be very, very great. I'm following, in a lot of ways, some of the same footsteps as Nailbomb in my approach to this project a lot of do-it-yourself, punk-rock kind of feeling to the project. So the songs are written really quick , I don't think too much about it. I like it more like that, so they are very raw."
