In a bit of unsettling news, former Eighteen Visions bassist Mick Morris reportedly passed away on Sunday, June 2nd. The news started circulating via his friends on Facebook roughly an hour ago, and according to Alternative Press, Morris was recently hospitalized due to a heart condition (though reports indicate Morris was not in the hospital at the time of his death).
In addition to Eighteen Visions, also did time in Bleeding Through and Clear. Morris was 35 years old.
"Speculation is increasing that Pearl Jam will release a single from their long-awaited tenth album on July 16. Industry listing site AllAccess.com listed a song called Mind Your Manners for launch on that date, but later removed it. Southern rock band He Is Legend have just released an update regarding their long (what seemed to be) hiatus, and their plans for the future in an open letter addressed to fans, in which they announced their new drummer Sam Huff.
You can hear a stream of the title track to Ramming Speed‘s new album “Doomed To Destroy, Destined To Die” online via Invisibleoranges.com. Prosthetic Records have a June 25th release date scheduled for the album which was produced by Converge‘s Kurt Ballou.
True Widow‘s song “HW:R” has received its online premiere and can be streamed over at Noisey. You can expect to find the groups new album “Circumambulation” in stores on July 23rd onRelapse Records.
According to a report on Altpress.com, As I Lay Dying frontman Tim Lambesis has managed to post bail and is no longer being held in custody at the Vista Detention Facility. Lambesis‘ bail was most recently set at $2 million USD in relation to his solicitation to commit murder charge. He faced the charge as a result of allegedly hiring a hitman to murder his ex-wife, Meggan Lambesis.
