Billboard.biz is reporting Universal Music Group is looking to cut CD prices down to $6-$10. The move is also likely to cut cd prices at other major labels as well. Do you think this will encourage more cd sales?

this is a rad idea, with cd prices at most outlets around here hitting $17.99 on average it seems like and the economy downturn why would you not pirate music if it's so easy to find for free? Definitely going to pick up sales.

Yeah, I'll actually be buying more music because of this.

It's about fn time. This is going to increase my music purchases quite a bit. I usually cut myself off from purchasing CDs above $10 anyway. If more were available for under 10, I would def be more apt to purchase them.

Yeah, I never really buy CDs that are more than $10. And if I see an album I like for 6 or 7 bucks... that puts it perfectly in "impulse buy" territory.
