Daily Discussion: Happy Holidays!!

Posted by Aaron Yarborough at 09:59AM

It's holiday season and we have been working hard trying to get top lists of 2009 up and online as well as keep the site news as updated as possible.  A lot of us are with our families and taking some time off from online so things will probably be a little slow until the new year.  What are your plans for the holiday season?

I appreciate the dedication.....Also, I am off work for 9 days. I believe I'll try to play as many video games with my brother as possible. I'm going to see just how well drinking heavily and modern warfare 2 mix together.

Because I am intern at a church and have to be there for an Xmas eve service, I'll be arriving home in south Carolina sometime around 5am Christmas morning, and then eating until I outgrow all the new clothes I get that I don't like.

Congrats, Rick.

I've been busy being unemployed (you can stay surprisingly busy, trust me ... especially when you're doing odd jobs for people to pay the bills). Also been working on quite a few holiday-themed articles for my beer blog, so I guess my online time has stayed pretty consistent.

You can do whatever it is you want in this world.

You shouldn't forget the importance of entertainment.

No big plans for Christmas.  Just going to relax and build my new computer.

Trying to figure out what to do with this new baby.  Wish he would sleep more. Going to try to visit family with him during the holidays.
Rick, congratulations.  If you don't mind me asking, when is the date? My anniversary is on the 17th...it makes going out seem more special when everything is decorated up...if we ever get to do that again.

Rick, you are a better man than I...good luck and congrats! Christmas is gonna be extra hard this year, my brother-in-law is going back to Iraq for a fourth trip so he will not be with us to celebrate.

Then, my brother, unfortunately is a 29 year old recovering drug addict that has been in and out of jail since he was 17. He broke his probation about a year and a half ago by beating up several cops and fled to a different state. He is coming home for Christmas dinner then turning himself in on the 28th. Which is a positive thing...but also very hard to deal with. Holidays are supposed to be good times spent with family and celebrating the good life we have been blessed with. So for Christmas, I want my brother to get his life back together and my brother-in-law to have a safe tour of Iraq, again.

Rick congrats on the wedding (although it hasn't happened yet).  You should take CD cases and use them to tie on to the back of the limo.

Congrats Rick.  Keep your head up Bill.

Bringing a new girl home to the fam(whom she met last week on a random trip home.  don't ask me, she basically invited herself.  Me being the guy that likes her didn't refuse).  Brother is flying home from motorcycle school in florida.  His girlfriend will be over.  Next week the new girl will be coming up for the third time for dinner with the fam and a christmas play(yes I know, its after christmas.  Didn't get tickets in time).  Anyway, I'm looking forward to seeing my family and spending time with the people that I care about and know care about me.  Should be a grand ole time.

What a shell of human I am.  I never noticed your beer blog link.  Totally just bookmarked it.

By the grace of god I managed to get the next week off, so I'll be back in NJ with friends and family getting all saucey and not talking about health care reform.

Thanks for reading. And don't feel bad ... the blog is still fairly the new.
