GH2TG is a spin off of sorts of Forgetting Sarah Marshall (she makes a brief appearance). Aldous Snow (Russell Brand) has enjoyed a very successful music career before releasing what some have described as the worst album of the decade which can be related to his getting sober. In order for him to attempt to recapture his steam him and his wife breakup, he goes back to drinking/drugs and further makes a mess of everything. Along comes Aaron Green (Jonah Hill) whom works for Snow's label, Pinnacle, who comes up with the idea to play a 10 year anniversary show in Los Angeles at the Greek Theater. His boss, Sergio (P Diddy), likes the idea and sends him off to get Snow to the Greek.
It seemed as if the laughs here were extremely plentiful. From the get go you're thrown into an over the top sort of situation, with Puff Daddy and Hill gaining your respect to deliver the funny moments but once Brand enters the movie everything is warped into hilarious mode real quick. Lots of cussing, some nudity, tons of drugs and drinking add to the overall mix of making this laugh out loud worthy from start to finish. Those of you whom are shy or church goers will not find this humorous at all, but everyone with an open mind looking for a great comedy during this Summer season should look no further than this movie.
The previews made it seem just okay, I had no desire to watch until it hit video until Nick Martin told me to check it out. Most of these movies seem to taper off after about the first half as far as laughs go, but Get Him to the Greek kept it up. I actually took my mom and wife with me to see this movie and my mom loved it, while the wife did not. My mom kept talking about how she learned a bunch of new slang words that she is going to use now.

I just thought this movie was absolutely bizarre. I don't know if it was good by any means, but it definitely had me laughing. I would say the best part about it was Diddy. But my friends will always hold the term "A Jeffery" very near and dear to our hearts.

only just got around to watching this... funniest flick I've seen in ages, jokes were just constant yet didn't get ridiculous ... oh and I just want to listen to Rose Byrne moaning in an english accent on repeat.
