you dont fucking know me, so please, next time you shit talk my bands record, dont act like you know shit. if you knew shit about hardcore in the slightest, you might not sound like a total fucking retard. i dont care if you arent into it, "to each his own", but dont ever act like you know someone you dont and/or are more important than you are. you are a shitty critic. its all youll ever be. you are pathetic and an assclown. you are a 17 year old fucking nu jack dork. sorry. good luck with that.

This was funny. I laughed...hard, told my friends, they too were rolling. We're all fans...we enjoy your music. I just happened to be reviewing the new RN album and I didn't think it was perfect...So why don't you track down all the other people's myspace's on decoymusic who agreed with my comments on the album and bitch and moan to them too?

I didn't mean to affend you. It's a review. I said what I liked and I said what I didn't like. I'm sorry if I didn't "understand" your music. But whatever. It's up to you if you want to keep going about being a total baby. Take some criticism, man. That's pretty professional of you to just cry and moan and call me about a hundred names.

And sorry If I pissed you off because I don't like your lyrics. Your whole message to me sounds like an xbishopx song. Haha. You pretty much make me ashamed to be straight edge. I thought maybe the lyrics and the image was just for the music and that maybe you were a decent individual after all...but I realize that you are not. All I did was review your cd and you fucking flip out like a big loser because I didn't give you a perfect score. Do you harass every critic that expresses their thoughts on your music?

I'm done rambling. I just can't believe you messaged me and seemed to be serious about this. If you are truely indeed being a prick about this...then grow the fuck up, bro. Learn to take some criticism. I even listen to RN and xbishopx and enjoy it and your bitching at me...what about the others who probably hate your big tough straight up hardcore music all together? Would you like me to give you their names and addresses so you can hunt them down with your brass knuckles?

Wow. You really must be retarded, because I said I don't care what you thought of my band, but I did care that you talk like you know me. I never acted tough or even have written any line in any song saying "ooh I'm tough and I'll beat you up", or anything even close to that. You had a personal attack on me and for that I take Offense. You, again, have no clue what you are talking about, please please please, do research on the records you review and be "professional" (because you have a thing with being professional), because what I saw in the review was some punk ass little kid who had nothing better to write and thinks he is actually important in this world... Even after I messaged you, you STILL talked shit. Its amazing really. I hope that one day I meet you in real life.

heh, i don't know if anyone remembers when victory came after me for my spitalfield review .. which was funny, considering i gave it a good score. i got in a lengthy fight with their PR girl because I implied they saw the opportunity for money with Thursday and since their hit success with them they essentially abandoned their original purpose. Of course, since then, they started doing hardcore again, so ehh, maybe they've changed. But Victory still sucks for coming after me for no reason.

This is laughable. This type of tough guy posturing is generally why I don't like most hardcore music.

Yeah, bands need to come down off their high horses and realize that not everyone on the planet is going to love them. The douchosity detector went off the scale when I read those emails from Mean Pete. What a funny guy.

I'm going to stay out of this one. Pretty sure I don't want to piss off a guy called "Angry Pete."

This represents the epitome of what the hardcore scene has become. There is no more integrity left in anyone. Everything in the review was true and pretty much constructive criticism. There was too much vocals and the songwriting was questionable at best. Ever since remembering never decided they were too good for melody and needed to beat everyone over the head with constant breakdowns, their music has suffered. To complain about what a critic says is childish. Its part of the music industry and you are only going to give yourself bad PR. Then again this is the same band that vandalized Lit's trailer if you remember. Apparently, maturity isn't part of their message. I understand and respect bands that stand beside a strong message but not when they discredit it by doing things like this. I would rather be stoned and peaceful then be straightedge and an asshole. Good job, Chris.

P.S. I hope Mean Pete joins the boards

It seems your priorities are all out of wack here...shouldn't you be playing some music or something, rather then picking on someone who innocently reviewed your cd?

Let's just end this. I reviewed the cd, said some things you didn't like...and you bitched and said some unnecessary shit that any decent individual, or musician, would have accepted and let slide off. But no, you're a dick. Sorry again for offending you or whatever. I hope I didn't hurt any of your sales.

So maybe neither party is really handling this in a very respectable way. Chris maybe could've written a different review and Pete didn't need to single him out.

I think part of the reason Chris responded like he did was because he is a fan. It's one thing if you're reveiwing an album and you know nothing about the band. Chris obviously has been to their shows and enjoys their music. So coming from a fan's standpoint, this is doubly insulting.

Not to take sides, but, if you're in a band, then you're going to get criticism. No matter how bullshit that criticism is, you pretty much have to take it. Just realize that not everyone is going to like your band or your music, or in this case, your lyrics. You can't go lashing out at every single critic. If you spent all your energy responding to every negative review, you wouldn't have any time left. I think Chris is right. This needs to just end.

Stupid Guy. If you can't take a fucking bad review, Get the fuck out of the business. ... Read and listen to what the review says make your shit better. or forget about it. Jeez. I'm 17 and smarter then this guy.
