There should be some sort of test you must pass before you can A). Have children B). Vote C). Adopt pets D). Drive a car

I think we have a test for D... It's called a license.

P.S. This is what the alphabet would look like if you removed Q and R.

Wow. This thread really surprised me, recent polls showing Obama and Clinton to be neck and neck, and the real voting is still some way off.

Somebody asked this a while back I'd like to see how things have changed - Does anyone believe America would elect Obama as president? I'm personally doubtful. Especialy considering his ties with Rezko, Power and Wright and the real battle (head to head with McCain) hasn't even begun yet.

As for Democracy, Churchill once said - "Democracy is the worst form of government, except for all those other forms that have been tried from time to time.".

That story was from May 1st, when Obama was sure to lose. Now that he won big in Carolina, they say it's impossible for Clinton to win, and she's been on a downward streak for months, and she should just give up now.

The poll was more to show the persuasions of the nation rather then of the Democratic delegates. It may have changed since then, I doubt the American public is more fickle then the sample error for that poll though.

The media has been quick to tell Clinton she should give in however the media unfortunately are biased. Aswell as fickle. What they fail to mention is that the candidacy will not be decided until the Democratic conference, it's too close to call before then as neither Obama nor Clinton can gain a majority without the superdelegates votes. Superdelegates do not vote until the conference and can change they're mind at any time, in fact superdelegates would prefer the decision to be made at the conference.

That way superdelegates can bargain for concessions to be made by candidates in return for their vote. Additionally if the superdelegates think it too risky to back Obama they may well turn their back on him to best look after the interests of the Democratic party, which is kind of the point I was making before. In order for Obama to get the nomination the majority of people in America must be on his side.

If Obama gets the nomination I wouldn't be surprised if this year sees record turnoutsfor voting. For Republicans and Democrats.

The only difference between a Dem and Republican is a cheap suit and a reach-around. They all suck the same corporate/lobbyist titty and our concerns don't mean shit to them.
