Should Clinton drop out?
Basically Obama has the democratic nomination wrapped up, so do you think Clinton should drop out? Whats keeping her in it other than ego?

she just wants to hurt Obama's chance of beating McCain so she can take another shot at the presidency in 2012. Clinton is not just wasting money, it's a long-term strategy and she's a smart lady.
that being said, I hate all of the presidential candidates equally and wish there was someone I could support at least half-heartedly instead of begrudgingly |

She should've dropped out a long time ago. Her continued efforts have only hurt the democratic party's chance of winning 2008.

The fact that she won't drop out just proves that she CANNOT become president...it shows her character/lack thereof.

Riiiight. You call it strategy. I call it making a mockery of the democratic party. Shes running out of money. Shes doing all kinds of publicity stunts that aren't working. It seems TO ME, that she isn't trying to win this for the right reasons anymore. The fucked up part is that she convinced so many people I know personally, who were set to vote for Obama, to flip and vote for her. And how, you may ask? She came here, pumped her own gas, drank a shot of Crown Royal with some drunks, spoke of Jeremiah Wright, and vowed to lower gas prices. Basically the same song and dance thats been going on for a while. It all just seems so empty. And people are way too impressionable. |

ive been studying history and politics for quite some time now, and i really dont understand it anymore than the day i started. i think its more a lack of trust than anything. but clinton needs to go away. everything that leaves her mouth is so prefabricated. |

Its interesting that that is the overwhelming feeling about her when her husband, who was beloved by many, was the exact same way. Recommending: The Weakerthans (live), Fun, Neon Trees |

Agreed. What kind of decision making process is it when an overwhelming majority of the people get to make decisions once every four years? I always thought, in this day and age of telecommunication and whatnot, that everyone that's a registered citizen (ie. has a fixed home address) has access to some type of phone/internet. When issues come up for congress, fuck them. Put those issues out to the people to vote on. Make it a weekly/monthly thing. Why should we vote someone in every four years who's just going to lie to us and not do what they say they will? I'm not saying I hate the system we have now, but I think it can be very much improved. I think we can deal with the voting a representative in every few years, and they push for issues we want to be brought up in congress, and then the people get to decide what goes through. Anyone who complains that it would be too much work to vote or whatnot are the people who aren't willing to care enough about the issues that affect them. Fuck 'em! Back on topic, yes, I think she should drop out, it's just getting petty now. You've made your point, Hilary. It just seems like she wants to make sure she's remembered in history, and being the first female president would definitely do that. P.S. This is what the alphabet would look like if you removed Q and R. |

This reminds me of when Senator Lieberman lost the democratic primary but failed to admit defeat so instead ran as an independent against his own democratic party. Many of the democrats at that point refused to support him. Seems like democrats are sore losers.

the other parties need to step their shit up. dems/republicans just sit around and blow each other and then argue about who came the hardest

I agree totally. I wouldn't want complex, tough issues in our nation to be decided by a mass vote. Joe Blow usually doesn't know shit about anything related to politics and can't see beyond his six pack and Nascar jacket. It would be a disaster. |
