i had an episode today with my back which i had back surgery on in 2003 that was more painful than anything id ever had before. even after i had my 3 herniated discs and a fractures vertebrae fused this was more painful.. i had to goto the hospital this morning for some meds, $600 later im doing exactly what id had been doing had i not gone but whatever least i know. back pain is the worst pain possible.. so im just wondering does anyone else around here have injuries or nagging stuff that limits things they can do? i used to love golf and disc golf and baseball/softball, none of which i can do anymore.. life sucks sometimes. I've had various injuries (mostly sprained ankles, hyperextended knees, and the like), but nothing major. I figure eventually I'll completely blow out a knee or something and that'll be the end of my sporting days. Until then, though, I plan on doing everything active that I can since I know this body will eventually wear out. As for pain, I had shingles in the nerve cluster in my shoulder a few years back and it was a constant pain that stuck with my for a couple of weeks. Probably the most consistent pain I had to deal with. Sucked, but I'm sure it's nothing compared to back problems. Suck, dude. |

i'm 20 and already have back pain. sometimes it's really bad to the point that i just won't do anything. i've fucked my back up at shows a few times before so i usually chill in the middle or back at shows. ya, it sucks, but my doctor won't help me out and i hate the idea of someone fucking with my spine. last.fm/user/tragedyl0ve

I had two knee surgeries from football, they it hurts when its really cold or when its about to rain. For me I just ice it after I get a little nutty. My boss had lower back surgery and he does yoga to help it. |

I've had plantar fasciitis about as bad as you can get it in my left foot for about two years. It won't heal, and the inflammation won't go away. Constant pain if I don't take anti-inflammatories. Other than that, I'm a'ight. |

Sorry to hear about that Aaron, I'm sure that it sucks.I've luckily never had any long term pain from injuries, surgeries, or random back pain in general; but I have had horrible stomach viruses before. I would rather someone blow both of my knee caps off with a shotgun than have to dry heave for an hour. There are few instances worse than the feeling right before you know your body has nothing left to throw up but it still tries anyway. Horrible memories... man, i went high ankle/shin to knee with another guy last fall in flag football and that was more painful than anything i'd ever experienced! we were both running full speed in opposite directions going for a interception. it ended in a high-ankle contusion that was huge! when it happened i was grasping my leg and was afraid to look at it for fear of seeing it broke. the contusion is still pretty evident and its been 5 months. 2009 Top 10 + Honorable Mentions:

hardly comparable to the pain you're talking about...but i'm pretty sore as I'm training for Tough Mudder. This will be a feat considering I haven't worked out in months...and the most I've ever run consecutively is about 2.5 miles back in middle school.
