How's your team doing in the free agent hunt? Surprised by any moves? So far my Wild have signed D-man Greg Zanon to a 3 year deal. Other than that, it looks like Gaborik will end up somewhere else. I've heard rumors the Wild are in on Heatley and Havlat big time. Here's to hoping one of those deals gets pulled off. The Wild management said they planned to be big players in this FA market, but so far they haven't shown it. The only thing I've been shocked by so far is the length of some of these contracts and the money in them. Hossa gets $5.2M/yr in Chicago for 12 years, but Cammelari gets $6M/yr in Montreal. Seems a little backwards and I'm still wondering how the Hawks are going to sign Taves and Kane long term next summer. Bulin also got way too much for too long (4 years @ $3.75M/yr). |

Burke is turning the Leafs into bruisers. Should be an interesting season. P.S. This is what the alphabet would look like if you removed Q and R. |

The Caps got Knuble from the Flyers but that's about all they're doing. I'm pretty dissapointed that they lost Kozlov and Federov and aren't finding people to fill their shoes. A Spaceman. |

Don't kid yourself. Knuble was a great pickup. The Caps were decent this past year and I can see them taking another step with Varlomov and some other their other young guys maturing. |

I gotta admit, the Leafs haven't done much to improve yet. I thought they might get the Sedin twins, but obviously that didn't go down. They lost Kubina, but gained Komisarek. That's a positive. I also saw a note today that they are leading the pack on Jonas Gustaavson. That would be another huge pickup. |

Yeah, I can see what you're saying now that I look at it more. I wasn't too familiar with Knuble's play and thought he was more of a gritty type player, but looking athis stats; he should be a great fit. I can't wait to see how Varly will mature. I just think the Caps need to pick up a couple more guys in the deffense department and they should be great this year. Just read that the Rangers signed Gaborik. A Spaceman. |

Flyers made some key pick ups in a backup goalie, Brian Boucher and a winger, Ian Laperierre to fill spots. I'd really like to see who they are going to bring up or acquire. I have high hopes this season Go FLYERS Go |

I don't know shit about Hockey except that NHL 09 is the shit, and Hockey : Killswitch Engage as Soccer : Crooked X laced with Creed...offspring of Hinder and The Jonas Brosefs. Also, beards and Canadians are generally pretty awesome. As are it's associates: lumberjacks, pancakes, syrup, fighting, D1-D3 (don't hate), Emilio Estevez, aboot, and pancakes with syrup.

well that wasn't a free agency move and I'm totally happy he's a Flyer. We might have paid a little too much for him but I think he'll be one of the missing pieces thats kept our team from the cup Go FLYERS Go |

Picking up Gustaavson would be a damn good move, even if we didn't land Mike Cammalleri like Burke apparently wanted to. I also hope the deal that would land Kaberle in Boston for Kessel goes through, though I doubt it will because although I know the Bruins can't afford to keep Kessel, they'd be asking for far too much for him from the Leafs.
