Yeah, Kam was around back in the days when people who shared my music tastes made up a good-sized portion of the staff. Good memories, and good to see you back, even if momentarily.

been around a couple years...can't say that i particularly pay attention to who's who, though. anyway, welcome back to the wide world of decoy shenanigans, still don't get the necessity of using that word though. yes, i'm being my mom right now.

On a related note: I'm studying at Oxford for a term, and I met someone who's hair was rather similar to Alex's. I asked him what sort of music he listened to to, and was completely disappointed in the answer. Turns out it was shit in every possible manner - he said "Evanescence" before anything else.

how you finding oxofrd? beautiful city.

and tbh, he probably just had long hair. very few boys have such elegantly crafted layers as mine. it has been an ongoing collaboration between me and my hairdresser for a number of years now.

Actually, his hair wasn't that long, it just resembled yours in the layering and the panoply of color.

(Though I'll go ahead and bloat your ego and tell you that his hair could never look quite as pretty as yours, even if he and a whole team of hairdressers spent years on the project).

And oxford is great. But classes start on Monday, so I'll let you know if I still feel that way in a week.

i'm in wiesbaden, germany right now working as an early childhood education intern. i'll be here until december, then i'm moving to anchorage, ak where i spent my summer. loved it there, and i recommend it for anyone who hasn't been. saw 31 knots play in wiesbaden last night, which was pretty awesome. second time seeing them, and i recommend that band to everyone.

let's see... fell outta the music game for a while, but it also appears i haven't missed much in the new, cutting edge music realm. just got around to the latest explosions in the sky, which is phenomenal. didn't like the new taas very much... i think they tried to experiment with their sound which is noble, but i think they fell short in the end. been listening to a lot of sonic youth, autolux, modest mouse, stephen malkmus, refused, and flaming lips... and of course classic soul, funk, and motown. don't listen to much stoner rock anymore, except for the best ones.

anyways, that's it... saying hey.

ps. Darla Farmer (see sig) - my closest, longest friend's Nashville band - isn't on deck, but unofficially in the hole, to use the expression, with Team Love (Conor Oberst). snazzy.
