Let's Be Honest About New Saosin
It's not THAT bad. Anthony is amazing, but Cove can hold his own. I've been rocking it the past few weeks. Too much hype may have swayed too many opinions.

am i getting old, or are my tastes becoming too refined? because i swear the more i hear about this band, the more i still think that anthony green is just a flat out obnoxious vocalist leading an obnoxious vocalist revolution.

that said, ive not heard the record, but i really dont have any interest either.

carry on then.

never understood the general fascination with saosin. it's cool they made a name for themselves on their own, but other than that i could care less.

I just listened to their EP from Warped again and was still not impressed. They don't suck ass, but they aren't great either.

What I did was changed the name and title on my iTunes, that way when I heard it I wasn't like "Ah fuck saosin, they're 'ass smokes' with their 'fuckin emo' haircuts" and I actually kinda dug it. It's amazing what popular opinion can do to you.

I thought they were awesome live, I am a total fanboy for their first EP, but this new stuff just doesn't do it for me at all.

Recommending: Anberlin, Interpol, Chamberlain, House of Heroes

i agree completely. i kept hearing all this hype, and when i finally got around to listening they sounded like every other band in the genre.

I've always had a soft spot for these guys. Theres just something about Anthony's vocals. But Cove is alot better than I thought he was going to be. I find myself listening to the new demos more than I listen to any of the old songs. I just wish they would hurry up and finish that damn full length.
