Bay Area punk rockers Troubled Coast have been quietly making waves ever since their debut album Letters made a splash last year. Ocean puns, yeah? And they're certainly well-liked here at Decoy. With a gritty yet melodic sound falling somewhere between Crime in Stereo and Hot Water Music, their new album Awake and Empty is smooth sailing.

I'll get right on it. I've thoroughly enjoyed everything else they've done so far.

Yep, still great.
I opened for these guys a couple nights ago, and none of them bothered even setting foot in the venue. Except one of the dudes came in, clapped in the middle of a song and walked out. Kinda disappointing. Secondarily we put out an EP for free recently, http://missive.bandcamp.com/album/not-a-minute-goes-by

hahaha. Dude, negging on one band and then offering up your own is not the best strategy, but shit, I'm gonna listen anyway.

It's just a bummer, because I'm a fan of their jams, y'know? The new release is rad.

This new album is amazing! Parts remind me of Alexisonfire, others Thursday, and others the classic Nitro Records sound. This is hands down the best album these guys have ever released.
