The Contortionist's sophomore album Intrinsic is flat-out great. Any fan of progressive metal or deathcore will feel immediately at home in an expansive, discursive amalgamation of heaviness, atmosphere and technicality. Be sure to read Cody's 5-star review if you aren't convinced.
