Not quite Protest the Hero, not quite Periphery, on their debut EP Nostalgia, San Diego's Corelia play an accessible, poppy brand of progressive metal more in the vein of Closure in Moscow than any metal acts. Don't expect too much technicality, but the vocal lines are huge, high-pitched and the lead guitar and bass drum are satisfying. Basically, if Kezia is your favorite Protest the Hero album, you'll feel right at home with Corelia.

Dammit, Zach! You and your high-pitched vocalists! Nah, just kidding, man. This wasn't bad at all. I especially liked the intro to the third track (the one about Glaciers).

This was a mutual suggestion band Via Nick, Zach And Myself. Nick is buddies with these guys. If you want the real dirt on them, ask him. He loves going on and on and on about them.
