I don't usually like to feature similar bands in a short time frame, but I The Mighty get a free pass. While they give off similar vibes as Hands Like Houses and feel influenced by The Receiving End of Sirens, I The Mighty really remind me of Harvard (Hrvrd, now) with a touch of Evaline, and there certainly aren't enough bands out there that do that. On the band's Equal Vision debut Karma Never Sleeps, you'll hear a familiar brand of atmospheric, yet driving alt. rock. And never fear, Nick Senior, you can totally hear the bass!

SLAPPIN' DA BASS! I haven't heard the full EP, but 3 of the 6 songs are quite good.

They had an independent EP in 2010, I believe, but this is their first wide release.

To no one's surprise, the half of the album that wasn't made into a single is better, but the whole thing is REALLY enjoyable. What I like most about it is that it takes that semi-proggy post-hardcore sound from the bands you mentioned, Zach, and adds in a catchy alt/rock side a la older Anberlin or Ivoryline.
