36 Crazyfists return this week with, Collisions and Castaways, which might very well be their most adventurous and crisp album to date. Taking some cues from their past successful albums, the new one is leaps and bounds ahead of their previous effort, The Tide and It's Takers. The album finds a solid mix of heavy and melodic which showcases the bands' talents which shine through on these eleven tracks.

I like this a lot more than their last album, but I don't think they can ever top A Snowcapped Romance.

i'm a big 36CF fan, but i really want to know what the hell happened from A Snowcapped Romance and Rest Inside the Flames, to this and the previous album. There is absolutely no signs of the band even caring aboutremaining relevant anymore. They went from one of the brightspots in the genre to...just another band?
if Steve Holt were to read this, quit producing your band's albums! have someone with some direction lead the way.
there's my rant.
current listenings:

allow me to clarify, I am not really a huge fan....i just remember liking them a long time ago more than i do now and they seem to still be metalcore enough for me to tolerate. Bitterness the star was nu metal as hell, SCR was good but still nothing that interesting, RITF was garbage, TTAIT was less garbage and now they have somewhat regained what they had lost after SCR.

Rick, this band is unoriginal so I decided to follow in their steps... seriously though, this band is fucking garbage.
