Norma Jean

Norma Jean return this week with Meridional with hopes of capturing the luster of their debut Bless the Martyr.. Kiss the Child.  The albums kicks off with a blast and continues to pound your skull with their power and intense hardcore metal sounds. Definitely a step up from previous efforts such as The Anti-Mother and O' God, The Aftermath.  Fans however will not find the same intensity possessed on their first record and will still be waiting patiently for them to recapture some of their lost spirit which may never be found without Josh Scoggin.  All we can hope for is they continue to push forward and progress giving us glimpses of what they once were while attempting to recreate their craft again.  Feel free to disagree with me, let's get this debate going.

They are excellent in concert.....even if they will never be what they once were on album. I got to see Memphis will be laid to waste in Memphis back in 06 and I thought the building was going to collapse with excitement.
