A refreshing release in the hardcore genre is a welcome sound nowdays and Counterparts are ready to deliver ear candy with their new album Prophets.  Finding a medium between such similar bands as Misery Signals, Comeback Kid, and Straight Reads the Line.. Counterparts have managed to step out of the shadows and deliver one of the most appealing hardcore albums this year.  The solid mix of raw singing and energy make this one that you surely can not miss this year.

Great pick! This band is amazing. I've been all over their new album too. It's one of my favorites so far for 2010.

Update: I got the CD in the mail today. Very basic packaging, though it's the music I care about.

I'd never heard of this band until mentioned on Decoy a few weeks back, but this is a fantastic album so thank you to whoever first mentioned them!
