Fear Factory return this week with their new album, Mechanize, which marks the return of ex-guitarist Dino Cazares who reconciled his friendship with Burton C. Bell to rekindle some of the lost power behind the band. The new album captures what fans of old have grown to love by writing and now releasing their best album since his departure. Fans of old will rejoice, fans of new will find new solace in Fear Factory being one of the best bands in metal. Mechanize is the bands' seventh studio album and is being released on Candlelight Records. The band continues to impress having sold over one million copies in the U.S. alone and if this new album is any indication, this band will continue to be a headliner and one of the most hardworking bands in metal. Grab the new album and get your fix of one of the best metal albums to come out this year.

Bill, you suck.
Oh, and this is by far FF's best work since Obsolete. Really, really digging this album.

Has anyone even listened to the new disc? It's much more in line with the good shit they used to put out as opposed to the crappy last couple of albums. I still shudder whenever a track from Digimortal comes up on random...

You are not alone. Unlike most everything they have done in the last decade, this album is not nu-metal garbage. It is very much like post-thrash/industrial metal with some very deep and heavy 8 string guitar work. Concerning that they sucked for so long, this album makes me very happy.

I don't listen to nu-metal / industrial metal. So no, I have not listened to the new album and I wont either. Call it close-minded but it is what it is.
