The genre of pop-punk has been done and done again.. the process seems to have stayed the same through the years with the genre growing stale and boring. Every so often a band comes along that manages to do the genre some justice and thus is the case with The Wonder Years and their new album, The Upsides. Full of infectious melodies and insanely catchy choruses, this album is a strong shot of maturity from their debut lp. The lyrics are less silly and more serious as the band has grown from high school to college students. While you won't find anything original, it's definitely a pleasantly positive album to enjoy during the first month of 2010. Featured in our "Most Anticipated Albums of 2010," this is album doesn't let down as long as you know exactly what you're getting into.
