Bio
Water Colours is a lively synth-pop album from Austin Tofte, the digi-centric singer-songwriter from Minneapolis, MN who creates under the moniker Swimming With Dolphins.
Swimming With Dolphins was formed in 2008 when Tofte teamed with Adam Young on a side project to Young’s Owl City band. Tofte eventually left Owl City, signed with Tooth and Nail and began recording Water Colours.
Tofte completed the debut full-length this March, apparently spending much of his time dreaming up ways to expand his sonic palette into even broader, grander directions.
Water Colours is set for release May 17 on Tooth & Nail Records and was produced by Aaron Sprinkle (Anberlin, The Almost) as well as Zack Odom and Kenneth Mount (Cartel, Mayday Parade).
The album's first single, "Sleep To Dream" is available now.
