Secret Lives of the Freemasons was formed in late summer 2003 from the breakup of the big-drawing bands Throwing Myself and A Kiss Before Dying. The new sound is a hybrid of both bands, mixing elements of pop with the brutality of hardcore and the honesty of emo.
Secret Lives came to the attention of Astro Magnetics in the Fall of 2004.
Secret Lives Facts:
• Secret Lives drove 12 hours north to New Jersey to meet up with Astro Magnetics before joining the roster. During the trip, the label took them to the Meadowlands Horseracing track where Jim won 40 bucks, Astro owner Marc won 40 bucks, and everyone else lost.
• Started on the NC label Divisional Media.
