Julien K is the brainchild of Amir Derakh and Ryan Shuck from the popular band Orgy. Their music is best described as dark prog with the occasional utilization of quirky beats. The project has been around since 2003, but they've only recently released their first full-length: Death to Analog. The album's release date was originally meant to be February 17, 2009 so as to coincide with the US's end to analog television, but the album was instead released March 10, 2009.
Julien K played on the mainstage for the Projekt Revolution tour, and has opened for acts like Evanesence and Mindless Self Indulgence.
