Ihsahn (born October 10, 1975 as Vergard Sverre Tveitan) is a Norwegian composer and musician who is perhaps best known for his work as the front man for the Norwegian black metal band Emperor. He now devotes himself to his solo project as Ihsahn. He has contributed guest vocals to projects from the likes of Devin Townsend to Jeff Loomis, and is rapidly gaining renown as a powerful force in progressive metal.
