Ignominious Incarceration was formed in summer 2006, with the focus of creating a a technical, melodic band.
Only six weeks after forming in a small town called Wellington in the UK, the band played their first gig to a humble audience of around 20 people.
Touring the UK over the course of 2 years and landing some high profile shows, and putting together an online 6 track demo, in early 2008 Ignominous Incarceration was propositioned to sign with legendary label Earache records. Upon signing, they went into writing over the summer and autumn of 2008, preparing the debut album.
Starting in September, the band experienced a relentless schedule of recording 'Of Winter Born' with Infamous Producer Scott Atkins (Gama Bomb, Sylosis) and then moving straight on to supporting Bring Me The Horizon on the European leg of their tour, playing across the UK with good friends The Argent Dawn and The Eyes of a Traitor, bringing them straight into a full 4 week UK and Europe tour with Beneath The Massacre and Cryptopsy.
Of Winter Born was released on March 9th 2009, which is looking to be the most intense year for the band yet, with relentless touring planned in name of the debut album.
