Annuals have only been around since 2003, but they've managed to leave a respectable print in the music world. Their first full-length, Be He Me, was a varied, eclectic affair that earned them comparisons to the likes of Animal Collective. The six-piece ensemble has a clear recognition of song structure, and it shows in each song they release.
Their second full-length, Such Fun, finds Annuals with a more refined sound, but not in a way that jeopardizes their label of unique. They've matured greatly, but they still stay true to their roots.
With a band so competent in crafting such diverse, powerful music, there's no telling where they will go and how they will change.
